Talk:Impediment (3.5e Prestige Class)
From D&D Wiki
Doesn't work[edit]
I really don't see how a member of this class can impede anything, especially with the AC bonus. Monsters can still just walk around him, or cast spells over him, to whatever he's trying to protect. Surgo 15:00, 23 January 2009 (MST)
- Well, it's mostly stated the way it is for fluff, and I'd thought about those possibilities, but I couldn't come up with a good way to prevent his opponents from doing those 2 things without making it overpowered (though, I recently found this feat: Stand Still, and am probably going to add it in as a requirement or a bonus feat, which one though, is still up in the air). If you have any suggestions please feel free to voice them. → Rith (talk) 15:15, 23 January 2009 (MST)

Rating[edit]
Power - I give this class a 4 out of 5 because, while it is certainly powerful, some of the abilities make it a bit overpowered, reducing the number of DMs who will allow this class to be used. --147.26.87.16 07:44, 16 April 2009 (MDT)
- Hmmm, could you please elaborate on that point, it'd be nice to know how it can be found overpowered. → Rith (talk) 11:04, 16 April 2009 (MDT)
Wording - 4 out of 5 because I'm a writer, and tend to be highly critical of the work of others. The story about the gargoyle impediment was not well done. --147.26.87.16 07:44, 16 April 2009 (MDT)
- I actually had a headache when I typed that, so I agree with you. → Rith (talk) 11:04, 16 April 2009 (MDT)
Flavor - 5 out of 5. Very original and sets a nice mood for potential campaigns. Also fits in well with the hero mythos that exists in DnD. --147.26.87.16 07:44, 16 April 2009 (MDT)
- Why thank you for the compliment, I do enjoy the concept behind this class after all. Though, I can't really use this rating as is, since the formatting rating is missing, and to answer your unasked question, formatting is the use of links, and the general look of the page. → Rith (talk) 11:04, 16 April 2009 (MDT)

Flavor - 5/5 I love the idea of an eternal protector, I like the flavor very much. --Lord Dhazriel 20:50, 16 April 2009 (MDT)
Will Save[edit]
Great class! i like it. I took the liberty in increasing the will save to "good" because that is definitely something that fits this class. It was also stated in the intro that these people are strong minded. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.71.138.253 (talk • contribs) 22:05, May 5, 2009 (MST). Please sign your posts.
- Well, first of all, thank you for the interest, and yes, the change is suiting, but I would perfer it if you asked or commented on this page before you had changed the page itself. Also, for future reference, please sign your posts with 4 tildes (or ~~~~). Again, thanks for the help. → Rith (talk) 16:52, 5 May 2009 (MDT)
