Talk:Hollow (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Shouldn't Vasto Lorde have more abilities, like Pesquisa, Cero Oscuras and the such? Not to mention that the whole "need overall nerf" should be deleted already, since most complaining stuff are not there anymore. --CursedGentleman

- I can't add all those abilities or it'd just get the maintenance template slapped on again. So it can't be exactly accurate in the way it is in the original lore.--Yanied (talk) 15:32, 19 November 2018 (MST)
I Really Be Out Here[edit]
This is directed mostly toward CL, who reverted the sub race I added. I would understand if there were a header in concern of leaving this page unchanged or if there were any justification of its deletion. I’m not trying to start beef with an admin, I simply want to know why. Ref3rence 12:58, 19 March 2019
- Because it would grant a natural weapon that is better than all equipment in the SRD as well as mess up the scaling for a monk's martial die. To put it into more context at 1st level it makes the monk's martial die d8 which they only get at 11th level, then 2d8 which would make it the best weapon in the SRD and finally 3d8 which does more damage than a sun blade (rare magic weapon). All of which they could do 3/4 times in one round. Natural weapons that exceed a d6 are generally disallowed for this reason. —ConcealedLight (talk) 12:27, 19 March 2019 (MDT)
- To be fair, I was going to reduce the natural weapon damage later, 3d8 is ridiculous. I was planning on changing it’s improvements to a +1 and +2. I simply lifted the stats from a separate race with the intention of changing it as soon as possible. However, I believe this specific natural weapon is balanced by virtue of removing your hands. Given the immense restrictions, especially with the wording of the monk class, it should be strong at the very least. Ref3rence 07:33, 20 March 2019
