Work in Progress[edit]
This is a hardcore work-in-progress. Please have mercy for the next day or two. -Tim —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.153.172.237 (talk • contribs) 19:03, 30 April 2007 (MDT). Please sign your posts.
- BTW, you may want to add the class skills as none are present right now. Add them beneith the table (last part of the table). --Green Dragon 10:53, 14 May 2007 (MDT)
- Mmkay, done. I'm still working on this, fyi. Just haven't had much time. =/ I'm still trying to figure out how to make it work the way on PnP as it does in my head. I'm trying to take it out of my campaign world and make it more general, relying less on RP . =/ --Othtim 12:13, 20 September 2007 (MDT)
- Good luck? :P. --Green Dragon 23:28, 23 September 2007 (MDT)
Name Change[edit]
This really needs to be moved to a new name...Harmful Hand Adept. -Tim 75.153.172.237 17:00, 1 May 2007 (MDT)
- Done. --Green Dragon 10:05, 4 May 2007 (MDT)
Comments[edit]
So this character class was originally something that NPCs in a campaign world were going to take levels in. The NPCs were supposed to be soldiers who guarded a small villa/palace. Anyways. I'm concerned that this class isn't coming out exactly how I had intended it. Does anyone have any comments regarding balance and scalability? I haven't ever had anyone with this character class fight someone over level 20. I'm not sure it would scale well to higher levels. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.153.172.237 (talk • contribs) 16:29, 20 September 2007 (MDT). Please sign your posts.
- A few initial comments. Prestige classes should not give weapon proficiencies. Thinking of prerequisites, you need some. Prerequisites tell me what a character will need to be successful in this class. Assume that a character takes this class from 6th-15th levels. Does the character get abilities appropriate to his level? Many of these abilities strike me as good 1st-6th level abilities, but they are not all that amazing. Decide what your core, cool abilities are. Everything about the class must rotate around these 2-3 core abilities. At 15th level, these abilities must be able to throw 15th level characters for a loop. --Dmilewski 05:21, 24 September 2007 (MDT)
- "Many of these abilities strike me as good 1st-6th level abilities" - That's kind of what I was going for. A class that could be taken as a prestige class at a very low level. I guess that's why I'm having a hard time coming up with prerequisites - I don't want to use up all the feats available to lower level characters. --Othtim 17:35, 26 September 2007 (MDT)
