Why would you ever use the blunt side of the weapon with your version of the weapon as the spike side has a great effect and gains charges when instead you should lose charges to gain that effect? Also, how would attacking with any side work of the weapon work if it does not use a bonus action? Don't you need to switch your grip or spend time to change the way you attack to attack with the other side of the weapon? The hammer has a single head with two sides. You would just need to spin it around to change sides. it could literally be done mid-swing. So, it shouldn't require anything to change the side of the weapon. This isn't the only weapon that has a mechanic like this. There are tons on the wiki here that are deemed balanced that allow for it. As far as the strikes, the blunt side striking fear, and the spike side causing disadvantage, doesn't make it less balanced. It makes more sense lore-wise. Being hit by a cursed soul should frighten you. You can change which side you hit with a weapon mid-swing? That is news to every weapon wielder. Also having the weapon absorb charges and cause disadvantage is broken unless you were to reduce overall power level of the weapon. Finally what makes sense lore wise does not mean that making a class/weapon/race/ect. that way makes it balanced.--Blobby383b (talk) 19:48, 23 October 2017 (MDT)
