Talk:Greatsword Master (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
The benefits don't seem to have anything to do with greatswords? Where does the reach and AC come from? Marasmusine (talk) 15:48, 18 June 2018 (MDT)
The greatsword called a 'two handed sword' sometimes seems to have had a flange part way up the blade and perhaps could have been used somewhat like a polearm as this picture seems to show Arquebus (talk)
I've edited the bullet points of this feat based on the style of fighting with the zweihander. The first ability is because, allegedly, the zweihander was used to break spears formations; the second is because of the halfswording technique, when used with the zweihander, basically turns the sword into a shorter polearm, so i stole the spear mastery ability; and finally, the third ability is because these swords where, supposedly used to fight against many swordsman at once, swinging it in wide movements.
