Talk:Falconer (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
Why padded armour?[edit]
Its a dex based class, and all similar classes get leather armour. It seems like a wierd penalty that goes away as soon as they get the 10 gp for leather armour. May as well get scale mail if your getting disadvantage anyway.
- Changed to give them leather armor. --Green Dragon (talk) 23:20, 13 June 2018 (MDT)
Thank you, Green Dragon! I didn't even notice that haha! --EpicBoss99 (talk) 00:22, 14 June 2018 (MDT)
Reason for Reverting Changes[edit]
The reason why I reverted the last edit was because no class in 5e is able to take on four skill proficiencies from the start. I found that to be a bit excessive. Thank you for your interest in this page, and thanks for the edit! :)
Sincerely,

Rogues are actually able to have four proficiencies, straight out of the PHB. --3ternals0ul (talk) 09:15, 12 October 2018 (MDT)
- Okay, so rogues get four proficiencies, but I didn't feel like this class would remain balanced if they had 4 skill proficiencies. The reason why rogues have four skill proficiencies is because their class is focused on using those skills. That isn't the case for this one. EpicBoss99 (talk) 21:28, 12 October 2018 (MDT)
- Oh, I understand. Don't get me wrong, I'm in agreement with you and I think the class works better with what it has. As it stands, it wasn't me who made the change. Just saw this because I've been following the class for a while now, figured I'd make sure everyone has correct information. Apologies if I ruffled any feathers(pun intended). --3ternals0ul (talk) 21:50, 12 October 2018 (MDT)
- You are A-Okay! Thanks for the pointer and I apologize if I came off as aggressive or confrontational in my last message. I am absolutely honored that you've been following a project of mine and thanks for giving people the proper info (Nice pun btw haha)! :) EpicBoss99 (talk) 02:56, 13 October 2018 (MDT)
Hi![edit]
I wanted to say thanks for the inspiration! I took the Falconer class, shuffled it around a bit, and put out a variant that I hope makes the class a bit more versatile. Check it out if you want! https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Falconer,_Variant_(5e_Class)
