{{5e Spell
|name= Eruption
|school= Evocation
|lvl= 2nd
|casttime= 1 action
|range=Self (5-foot radius)
|comp=V, S, M (a [[5e SRD:Greatsword|greatsword]])
|dur={{5E|Concentration}}, up to 1 minute
|summary=Create an explosion of blue fire erupting from your greatsword.
You begin casting this spell by holding the {{5e|Greatsword}} used as a material component overhead, wreathing it in blue fire. Your concentration on this spell persists for only as long as this weapon is held, you do not move, and you take no other actions or reactions.

Within the duration, you can use your [[5e SRD:Reactions|reaction]] to plummet this greatsword into the ground, ending your concentration, and causing an explosion of blue fire to erupt around you. Each creature in range must succeed on a {{5a|dex}} saving throw or take 3d10 fire damage plus an extra 1d10 for each action you spent concentrating on this spell after the first. The radius increases by 5 feet for each action you spent concentrating on this spell after the first, up to a radius of 60 feet.

'''''At Higher Levels.''''' When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d10 for each spell slot level above 2nd.

Here's a variant, I guess. - Guy 19:14, 15 May 2019 (MDT)

I am fan of this variant. Rules are simpler and easier to follow in my opinion. ~ BigShotFancyMan 09:08, 8 July 2019 (MDT)
