What is the difference between this background and the Noble background? --Redrum 18:28, 6 June 2018 (MDT)

Noble's are just a blanket term for those who come from noble families. An envoy doesn't necessarily have to be a noble(some are renowned or are excellent speakers though), and they are used by kingdoms to deliver political messages to other kingdoms/empires(ie sent to deliver trade agreements or setting disputes).--Blobby383b (talk) 19:19, 6 June 2018 (MDT)

  • Support. The envoy is made well for a character centered around an organization. Works in all sorts of campaigns. --Green Dragon (talk) 08:28, 17 December 2019 (MST)
  • Support. This has been nominated for almost three years? It's a good idea which is very well executed. The flavor text is great and the options are exciting. I couldn't find a problem if I tried. Maybe it should start with a diplomat pack, since what it has is basically already that? vladulenta (talk)
  • Support Well written and fleshed out, no less than textbook quality. If I had to change something, I would give them proficiency in Calligrapher's supplies and a proper set rather than just pen and ink. Malachai (talk) 19:36, 13 August 2022 (MDT)
  • Comment: On a glance, I wasn't sure this was up to snuff but it is written very nicely to be general enough to fit with many games and also give a character substance and reason to adventure. Just two things: (1) I think this could use an image, and (2) since an envoy doesn't necessarily have to be associated with upper crust diplomats per its list of institutions, is it believable that they would instead have travelers clothes instead of fine clothing? In my head, they would be doing a lot of traveling, and fine clothes would be a hassle to maintain on the road.--Yanied (talk) 19:40, 16 December 2023 (MST)
I have gone ahead and added an image and changed the 2nd set of clothes to traveler's clothes (though I could imagine an envoy having even more sets of clothes).--Blobby383b (talk) 14:21, 14 January 2024 (MST)
Living out of a suitcase could totally be a thing for messengers on the road. The picture is nice but it's a more generic depiction of a noble, I feel? This might be biased of my tastes, but maybe something like this could work?--Yanied (talk) 21:43, 15 January 2024 (MST)
I am inclined to go with the image you found as I have only found some ok ones or stuff that would not work too well as an image on this page. --Blobby383b (talk) 08:50, 17 January 2024 (MST)
Support: Looks good now. Cheers--Yanied (talk) 20:13, 17 January 2024 (MST)
