Cerealian dragon balls[edit]
So about the boons that SwankyPants was saying don't have levels. Take a look at the 5e epic Boons. Here's a Link but if you're going to stick with that then you'll have to change the amount of years it takes away due to characters getting high bonuses to age later and some races just having a very long life span so it wouldn't really be a drawback at just 18 years. - While that's fine and all, the actual DMG (pg. 232) has no mention of boon levels. That being said, there may be some mention of such a thing in another book that I am unaware of, but from what I can tell, that link is just as much homebrew as this class.--Ref3rence (talk) 14:45, 20 June 2021 (MDT)
- I have every rule book except Tasha's and Ravnica, and nowhere have I seen leveled boons. Either way, that's just GM Binder, an unofficial source. --SwankyPants (talk) 14:47, 20 June 2021 (MDT)
That's totally my bad then, just spike up the age loss a bit then since granolah lost almost all his lifespan. And due to the issue I mentioned above. P@uL (talk) 15:05, 20 June 2021 (MDT)
Since I'm going through all the stuff again, I'm back here looking at the Cerealian dragon balls now. Seeing that 1. There aren't really any good feats to represent a huge power boost and 2. Any dragon ball can grant feats, maybe the epic boon should be changed to something like how the dark dragon balls grant a bonus to your physical scores and such. Thoughts? --SwankyPants (talk) 20:15, 10 August 2021 (MDT)
Wish Dragon Edit & Shadow Dragons[edit]
So, earlier... yesterday or the day before I think, I came across this page as I was helping someone to DM a DBZ5e Campaign, as I am sure you could guess. I saw that all the links to the Wish Dragon Stat Blocks as a whole were red, and that we already had a Wish Dragon Stat Block, so I just substituted that in.
Though, it was pointed out to me by SwankyPants that this probably wasn't the best idea, so he edited it back. Thanks for that (I would have thanked you privately, but I couldn't figure out how to do that), and I can see why you did it, though that said I think that we should make maybe... Ultimate Shenron have that stat block, especially since King Piccolo was able to One Shot Shenron with a Mouth Blast back in OG Dragon Ball, and the Wish Dragon Stat Block has like 22AC and 500+ Hit Points.
As for the second part of this, I noticed that the Shadow Dragons Link, instead of going to the Shadow Dragons, only goes to Omega Shenron. I was going to ask if there are plans to actually make the Shadow Dragons as they should be, or just Omega by himself? I would gladly help with the Former, not so much with the latter if that is a problem.
Also, is it just me, or does the whole 10 Wishes thing feel a little Small? After Checking, it is 10 Wishes total from the first wish until the last Wish (Movies not Included), but this feels small? Maybe it should be based on the severity of the Wish, rather than the Number of Wishes, especially considering that the Dragon Balls are used Multiple Times to revive like vast majorities of the population of the world? Idk, but that's just me thinking out loud. -- ExodusGlaeris (talk) 11:20, 23 December 2021 (AEST)
- In the setting this was made for, creatures are equal to players, and given the lore that the dragons are equal to their creator (kinda), Ultimate Shenron can mostly use the nameless namekian's stat block for now. As for Omega Shenron, he is Syn Shenron after absorbing the other dragon balls, Omega Shenron's description would have links to the others, which by itself is a lot easier to link to. While 10 wishes is admittedly a low number, it's backed up in the canon, and each wish is worth quite a bit. This way, we avoid the original's lack of tension due to DBs without the DM needing to kill of a namekian at the beginning of every campaign. That and quantifying every possible wish is kinda impossible (how many human lives or zeni is immortality or infinite ki worth?).--Ref3rence (talk) 20:58, 23 December 2021 (MST)
