What if the player takes quick draw?

Hmm, this is why flaws are supposed to be a numerical penalty. You could add the caveat that you can't take quick draw, but you can't account for every feat or magical power or class feature. Marasmusine (talk) 06:38, 25 December 2013 (MST)
Dunno how you'd word it succinctly and without potential error, but could you simply make it increase the action time by one step (free would become swift, standard would become full-round, etc.)? --SgtLion (talk) 13:11, 25 December 2013 (MST)
That would be counterproductive. Gain a feat to use it to counteract the flaw that let you gain the feat? Yeah, no. That's stupid.
Maybe the template should be changed to {{delete}} then? --Green Dragon (talk) 04:24, 14 October 2014 (MDT)
the phrasing "this trait leaves you unable to make use of any feat or ability that reduces your draw time or item retrieval/storing"
how about "it takes one more move action to draw an item than it would normally take you" -- characters with the quick draw (or similar) feat still take a move action to draw their weapons (which means the bonus feat for the flaw cancel each other out) or it takes them 2 move actions, meaning they sacrifice a standard action to get their second move action.
I think it should require a full-round action regardless of normal time to pick up an item, even if it were normally a free action. To make it worse than the quick draw feat (flaws should be twice as bad as a feat is good), and more flavorful, I would recommend adding, "In addition, when you attempt to take an item that is stored on your person, you must make a DC 15 Intelligence Check, or grab another random item from your person instead.
