Talk:Decoration (5e Creature)

Some feedback.

Flock Tactics would more traditionally be called Pack Tactics, but the name doesn't really impact the trait.
I assume that the bite draws from the stirge. If that is the case, then the decoration should "attach to the target", not "latch on to the target".
The description mentions a "Dear". What is a dear and why is it relevant to this creature? Is it another creature that hasn't been made yet?
Also, several names are capitalised in the description. Generally, names are only capitalised if they're proper nouns, not general creature titles (for example, "orcs", not "Orcs").
Also also, what's with the Cupid reference? It would probably seem a little out of place in most D&D settings. SirSprinkles (talk) 01:12, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

CR[edit]

In response to requesting review:

1/8 Defense (14 hp + 14 ac): x2 hp from resistances
1/2 Offense (5 damage + 6 atk): +1 atk from pack tactics

I'm guessing the latching-on feature would not increase its CR. Based on that assumption, this should check out nicely as CR 1/4. (One could argue latching on is worthy of +1 atk, though, in which case the CR would slip up to 1, if only barely.) — Guy (talk | edits) 03:45, 8 April 2017 (UTC)

Just made an edit with +1 hit die, -1 Dex. Decoration should still I think be balanced for CR 1/4.
