Talk:Blade of the Burnt Hand (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
I figure the disadvantage drawback is somewhat mitigated by the fact that whoever gets the Blade probably deals exclusively in melee anyway. As for the unsheathing thing, that part's basically flavor; sheathing and unsheathing it does take up your free interaction with an object for that turn, but if you need it for something else, I doubt you're using the Blade that turn anyway. The only part I'm worried about, really, is whether it's quite powerful enough for both legendary status and a drawback; there is also the fire resistance, but... Well, if you're basically dual-wielding the Blade and sheath... y'know what? Gonna change that to "holding" the sheath, rather than wielding it; makes more sense, and you don't need the Dual Wielder feat to get the thing's full benefit this way. - Although it isn't as overpowered as some homebrew legendary items, I agree that legendary is a appropriate rarity than very rare or lower. This only has a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls, but an average of 13.5 extra damage on top of that is pretty huge.
- I'm glad you undid the edit made by DemonofPain, by the way. - Guy (talk) 14:30, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
