Talk:Battle Hedgehog (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
Alright so me and Hedgehog will be playtesting the class in our campaign. I will be doing the porcupine preference and he will be doing, of course, the hedgehog preference. So there's no need to playtest unless you feelin' it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mr.Heskasy (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- I can confirm that Mr. Heskesy and I will be playtesting this class. We will be rebalancing the class as we go, so expect some changes. If you playtest this class then feel free to make suggestions or edits based on your findings. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hedgewig (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- That is good news, I will look forward to what you learn about the class after playtesting it. As it currently stands, I believe that the class may be a bit weak at 2nd level and may need another decent feature then. Besides that, the class should be quite fun to play at higher levels due to all the options you have, but we will have to just wait and see.--Blobby383b (talk) 07:28, 22 May 2021 (MDT)
- So, after a bit of playtesting and some more opinions we have come to the conclusion that this class is basically a slightly better monk. I will be tweaking it to make it more of its own class and to balance it. I have also decided to decrease the unarmed strike damage from 1d8 to 1d6 at starting level—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hedgewig (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- The reduction in based damage done by the class's unarmored strikes is fine, though I don't believe the Spine Snipe feature needs to be nerfed as it can only be used as an action so you can't take the Attack action on your turn when you use it as you only have 1 action each turn to use(Extra attack just gives you two attacks when you specifically use the Attack action). Because of this, I will be reverting the changes to Spine Snipe. I don't know if any other changes are needed, but with your small damage tweaks, the class should pretty much be done.--Blobby383b (talk) 14:12, 24 September 2021 (MDT)
