Talk:Arcane Chef (5e Class)

From D&D Wiki

I'm assuming this page is used for discussing how we are going to make this walking gimmick of a class, so I made it, because I have small pea brain and can't keep track of the classes progress. And Yanied, I really appreciate the work you've been doing on my class. I sort of gave up on it once I realized how much crap I have to keep track of when making this class especially, and seeing you contribute made my day imedently.

Seriously, thanks man.--MeIsmE (talk) 15:10 11 April 2021

No problem. It is a bit unorthodox to cook in battle, so a lot of these will be quick Kirby approved recipes :D. I'm glad you like it. --Yanied (talk) 15:22, 11 April 2021 (MDT)

So, I've got a few ideas that I wanted to run past you. First is the Kitchensmith Tools, I have another one called the Lead Skillet. It adds extra bludgeoning damage to thrown foods, like Hot Shot, but it gives you disadvantage on Dex. saves while wielding it, and it also require a strength of 13 or higher to use.

Next is a 2nd level skill called Heart.y Meal, it gives 1D4 temporary hit points to six people durring a long rest, 2D6 at at 4th level, 2D8 at 6th level and 2D12 at 8th level.

Next is the Flambeau Flamethrower, a 3rd level skill that allows you to throw a fire attack in a 10 ft. cone using any form of alcohol. Any creatures in the cones must make a DC 10 Dex. save, they are delta 2D6+2 fire damage on a failed save, and half as much on a successful one.

If any of these sound good, I can add them or, if you so wish, you could do so. --MeIsmE (talk) 16:16 April 12, 2021.

I think since the class is still in the works, you can throw on ideas you have. I'm not that fast a worker on this class in particular, since I'm working on 4 other classes as well. Tack on your ideas and we can refine them as we go! A skillet I think is a good idea for a tool. The idea of it being lead makes me think of lead properties beyond being heavy. But it's a good start.
For the hearty meal, I guess that could be a recipe? The skills for the lower levels I had thought out to be entirely customizable.
A flamethrower is a good idea for a tool. It could be like a dragonbreath weapon--Yanied (talk) 16:55, 12 April 2021 (MDT)
Alright, that sounds good. I'll try morphing my ideas a little, having customizable "spell"-ish things sounds fun. It's sort of like an artificer whose creations are consumed when used. Thanks for the speedy responce. --MeIsmE (talk)
No problem. In a way it is a bit like artificer in the sense that recipes are spells and your cooking tools are your casting focus.--Yanied (talk) 20:05, 12 April 2021 (MDT)
