Talk:Appoplexian (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
well, I hope I corrected my mistake of making it so OP, I got carried away with the original material, sorry about that, I hope it's better this way. --Mr. Knight (talk)
- The ability score cap increase is a lot off the bat. The unarmed strike is also very strong compared to monk's starting damage die, and it uses also an "additional action" (bonus action, I assume) which means you also get a free extra attack for up to 2d8 + your str mod in a turn.
- Flat advantage on all perception rolls is a no go. At most, it should be conditional. The arbitrary round count for the stun is also not recommended. It would have to be something like how plant types deal with fire damage until the next turn, see Alraune (5e Race).
- 10th level increase to frightened goes beyond official race trait improvements (dragonborn only get damage dice increases and simics only go up to 5th).
- Pure muscle is debilitating but I guess more serviceable than a vulnerability. Could do with conditional disadvantage, tho.--Yanied (talk) 19:03, 8 April 2024 (MDT)
Changes made, from what I understand the pure muscle trait is ok? otherwise, everything else has been fixed I think. --Mr. Knight (talk) 15:00, 15 April 2024
- It looks good. I skimmed down some more stuff so it should be okay now... Just wording left.--Yanied (talk) 20:49, 16 April 2024 (MDT)
Perfect, I'm glad everything is better, I did some spelling fixes here too, I hope they meet the requirements. --Mr. Knight 23:06, 16 April 2024
