Tablet of Inverse Functions (5e Equipment)

Wondrous item, rare (minor) This Tablet has an inverse function, Y=X/(-0.5), so if applied to oneself or any ally as a bonus action instead of taking damage (damage being a negative number) it actually heals an ally for double that amount while if placed on an enemy instead of healing an enemy it harms them for double. So If this Tablet is activated as a bonus action to protect a paladin form an incoming fireball that would deal 20 fire damage on a failed save it instead heals the paladin for 40 health. If an enemy Drow preistess wants to heal her Hydra mount for 20 hp again if this stone is activated as a bonus action it would instead deal 40hp of damage and kill the wounded Hydra who was at 10hp. This Tablet's power can only be activated once after a long rest and can be used as a bonus action at any time. |
