Weapon (light crossbow), Rare A rather large crossbow with 6 separate cylinders, a crank handle on the side, and a pump on the bottom to rotate the cylinders. Instead of taking crossbow bolts, each cylinder takes a single small log, such as firewood. A few quick turns of the crank handle sharpens each log into a wooden stake. Reload and Range. Instead of the loading property, this weapon has the reload (6) property. It has a range of 80/360 feet, and deals 1d6 piercing damage on a hit. Vampire Killer. Any vampire or otherwise vampiric creature (i.e. vampire spawn) hit with this weapon must succeed a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier) or be rendered paralyzed for 1 minute. The paralyzed creature can attempt to make this save again at the end of each of their turns, ending this effect on a success. |
