Weapon (Longsword), rare (requires attunement by a creature with lawful alignment) In its base form, the sword looks and acts like a regular +2 longsword. Devil's Breath After the welder speaks the command word chosen during attunement, the sword transforms into a flaming black scimitar. The scimitar emits bright light in a 15‑foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet. While the blade persists, you can use an action to expand or reduce its radius of bright and dim light by 5 feet each, to a maximum of 30 feet each or a minimum of 10 feet each. The scimitar deals 1d6 slashing and 1d6 fire. If of a good alignment, the wielder takes 1d20 damage per round. Arcadia's Glory After the welder speaks the command word chosen during attunement, the sword transforms into a radiant white short sword. The sword emits bright light in a 15‑foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet. The light is sunlight. While the blade persists, you can use an action to expand or reduce its radius of bright and dim light by 5 feet each, to a maximum of 30 feet each or a minimum of 10 feet each. The sword deals 1d6 slashing and 1d6 radiant. If of an evil alignment, the wielder takes 1d20 damage per round. |
