Weapon (longsword), artifact (Requires attunement)

When Vecna the lich came to power on the spider throne, he scripted a book that was so malicious it could corrupt the strongest soul. The destruction that the book left behind caused all the sorrow that was the doing of the book to create another artifact, so powerful, so evil that it was shaped out of pure misery. There is no ritual, no enchantment that can duplicate or equal this blade's power. When one has fully been corrupted by the Sword of Woe, they know true evil, and can never come back. Because of a godly sacrifice, the Sword of Woe is currently imprisoned in the deepest pits of the Underdark, within the very living rock, waiting to be rediscovered.
