Sword of Shadows (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement by a Drow) This item appears to be an ebony coin with a symbol of Lolth on one side and elvish scripture engraved on the other side. While holding the coin, you can use a bonus action to cause a blade of darkness to spring into existence, or make the blade disappear. If you are proficient longswords, you are proficient with the sword of shadows. You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. The sword’s shadowy blade emits shade in a 15-foot radius, allowing no sunlight. This area is lightly obscured to all creatures not wielding the sword of shadows. While the blade persists, you can use an action to expand or reduce its radius of shadows by 5 feet, to a maximum of 30 feet or a minimum of 10 feet. While holding the blade, you can use an action and point the sword at a point you choose within 30 feet and cast darkness. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest. |
