Wondrous item, Very rare

"The Subspace Sewing kit appears at first to be an ornate sewing kit made of either copper, silver, gold, or platnium. The top of the case has a warped grid engraved on it, resembling the visualization of a gravitational field when a heavy object is present.

Upon opening the case for the first time, it will contain a pair of scissors, a set of needles in various sizes, a thimble, and several spools of thread.

Identifying the magic contained in the case will reveal that both the needles and scissors are enchanted and unbreakable.

The needles can be used to sew as normal, but can also be used to sew shut any portal or rift. The size does not matter, as long as the user can reach both sides of the rift, and has enough thread. Upon fully sewing shut a rift or portal, it will dissapear. This ability does not require attunement.

The scissors can be used as an action to tear open a rift to a specific location. This rift cannot be larger than a 10x10 square. Only one rift of this kind can be opened at a time, and it must be sewed shut with the needles included or shut any other way before the scissors can be used again. The scissors will only function this way if the user is aware of their function, but does not require attunement.

The location opened depends on the metal the box is made of. All locations seem to have infinite breathable air, and never have windows. They cannot be destroyed, and anything originally from the location cannot be removed.

If the box is made of Copper:

  • The rift leads to a derelict closet.
  • It is a 10 foot cube, and the walls are made of old, rotting wood.

If the box is made of Silver:

  • The rift leads to a small cottage.
  • There is a bed for two people, a small table with two chairs, and a couch with an end table. The room is a 20ft x 20ft square with a 10ft ceiling and has a door that opens to a 5ft x 5ft closet.

If the box is made of Gold:

  • The rift leads to a moderate home.
  • The rift will initially open into a small living room with 2 couches, each with an end table, that face a fireplace. There is a rug between the couches and the fireplace.
  • Connected to this room is a small dining room with a small circular dining table and 6 dining chairs. Behind it is a china cabinet with a full set of dishware. There is a vase in the center of the table that when filled with water will grow flowers and cast Create Food and Drink on every place at the table with dishes. The food is not the same meal every time, but will generally be food and drink that can be bought in a tavern.
  • A small hallway connects to both rooms, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Each bedroom is identical to the cottage from before, but with higher quality furnishings.
  • There is a trapdoor under the rug in the living room that leads to a small cellar with several training dummies in various poses.

If the box is made of Platnium:

  • The rift leads to a luxurious mansion.
  • The rift will initially open into a foyer. There is a double set of stairs that leads up to a second floor. There is a door to the left, under the stairs, the right, and at the top of the stairs.
  • The door to the left leads to a pool area with a large pool and a smaller heated tub.
  • The door to the right leads to a library with a fireplace and many couches and cushions. The books are all various stories from many different cultures.
  • The door under the stairs leads to a banquet hall that can host 20 people. There is a fountain in the back with a statue of a lion that has a gold nose ring. Upon tugging on the ring, the banquet hall will fill with dishes and food and drink, all of very high quality. As well as filling plates with various meals, the middle space on the table will be filled with dishes of other food, such as roasts, cornbread, and cakes.
  • The door at the top of the stairs leads to a long hallway with 7 doors. 6 of the doors lead to identical bedrooms that again are the same as the cottage before, but with the finest furnishings. The door at the end of the hall leads to a master bedroom with a larger bed, several wardrobes, a vanity, and person bathroom in addition to a larger walk in closet.
  • There is a false wall in the Library that can be revealed by pulling on a specific book as a lever. It leads to a large training ground area with racks of various melee weapons along with a set of bows and box of arrows that constantly regenerates. Neither the weapons nor arrows can be removed, much like everything else.

If the box is made of Electrum:

  • The rift leads to an ancient temple antechamber. There is an altar in the center that has channels for blood. Upon filling the altar with blood, it will create 1 Electrum coin for every liter of blood donated to the altar. These coins can be removed, and the blood seems to dissapear after being consumed.
