Stuffed Doll (5e Equipment)

Wondrous Item (doll), very rare A Stuffed Doll is a simple stuffed handmade doll. Many of these dolls are believed to have been created when an insane serial killer who posed as a toy maker. he would infuse his victim's soul into the dolls so that the God's would not find out the atrocities he made through his victims spirits. When in the presence of the doll, a humanoid will have the urge to pick it up and take it with them. If a humanoid comes into contact with the doll, they musts make make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. On a success, nothing happens and the target must repeat the saving throw every minute they are in contact with the doll. On a failure, the target feels a small prick in their finger, even though there are no no sharp objects on or within the doll. Once pricked, the target will begin to turn into a doll over the next 1d6 + 2 days. The curse will also come into effect if a humanoid causes any harm to the doll, whether directly or indirectly. Plush Transformation. After initial interaction with the doll, the target suffers no immediate effects.Within fifteen minutes, the target will experience numbness of the tips of extremities, similar to that caused by cold. The transformation goes through three stages. The first stage marks the loss of minor senses where the target will lose their senses of smell, hearing, and taste over the first few days. The target's skin color and eye color will progressively change in appearance to that of what they will become as a doll. Stage two marks the loss of the major senses. The target will gradually lose their major senses, first touch, then sight. At the same time, their skin will become ragged, similar to textile in both texture and appearance, their hair will become the appearance and texture to yarn and the targets's eyes will begin to harden into buttons. The targets organs will also begin to convert into stuffing of various materials, including but not limited to cotton and polyester. The third stage marks the completion of the transformation. Their features will be replaced by stitching and patchwork and they will become more stuffing than living. Their size will also shrink down to that of a normal doll. Both during and after the transformation, the target is completely conscious and lose complete control over their body once the transformation is complete. They have finished their transformation into a simple handmade doll. The doll will also have the same properties of the doll that cursed it. The only way for the process to be reverted is through the casting of a greater restoration spell at 7th-level or higher. Over the next 1d4 days, the user will revert back to normal. If the transformation is completed, the only way to bring them back to normal is with a wish spell. |
