Wondrous item (staff), uncommon

This long wood staff is covered in scratch marks and has a carving of a duck's head at the top.

This staff has 4 charges, and regains all expended charges at dawn. You may expend charges to produce the following effects:

  • As an action, by expending 1 charge, you can make the staff let out the sound of a duck quacking loudly.
  • As an action, by expending 1 charge, you can point the staff at a creature you can see within 60 feet of you and try to turn it into a half duck(duck bill and tail). The creature must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw, turning into a half duck for 1 minute on a failure.
  • As an action, by expending 2 charges, you can summon 2 ducks into unoccupied spaces within 5 feet of you. The ducks stay for 1 minute before disappearing, and act as normal for members of their species.
  • As an action, by expending 4 charges, you can turn a creature you can see within 60 feet of you into a duck. The creature must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw, turning into a duck for 1 minute on a failure. While as a duck, the creature can still use its class features and cast spells, and its Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores remain the same. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns or whenever it takes damage.
