Spider Keeper (4e Paragon Path)

Prerequisite: Worship either Lolth or Arachne

Most creatures view spiders with revulsion. To you, however, spiders are the perfect hunters; creatures supremely adapted to their environment and hunting style. You view these perfect creatures with awe, dedicating yourself to the study of these creatures. Your knowledge of spiders has lead you to befriend one.

Spider Keeper Path Features

Spider Companion (11th Level): You gain the ranger's beast mastery class feature. Your beast companion must be a spider.

Spider-Step Action (11th Level): When you spend an action point to take an extra action, you also gain a move action.

Spider's Mobility (16th Level): If you are within 5 squares of your beast companion, you can command it to shift as a minor action. When you do this, you can also shift 1 square.

Spiderbite	Spider Keeper Attack 11
Your spider viciously bites your foe.
Encounter  Arachane, Beast
Standard Action	Melee beast 1
Target: One creature
Attack: Beast's attack bonus Vs. AC
Hit: 2[B] + beast's Dexterity modifier damage.
Beast: If your beast companion is a spider, the attack also deals ongoing 5 poison damage (save ends).

Saltacidic Leap	Spider Keeper Utility 12
Your bond to spiders enables you to leap like a saltacid.
Encounter  Arachane, Teleport
Move Action	Personal
Effect: You can teleport a number of squares equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier. If you have a beast companion that is a spider and it is adjacent to you, it can teleport with you when you use this power.

Toxic Fang	Spider Keeper Attack 20
Your spider companion leaps and bites your foe.
Daily  Arachane, Beast, Poison
Standard Action	Melee beast 1
Target: One creature
Attack: Beast's attack bonus Vs. AC
Hit: 3[B] + beast's Dexterity modifier damage, and the target is weakened and takes ongoing 5 poison damage (save ends).
Special: Your beast can shift 6 squares before the attack.
