This rod contains pairs of zinc and iron discs, separated by cloth and surrounded by brine. It has 5 charges. When you hit a creature, you can expend a charge to deal an additional 1d6 lightning damage.
There is no known way to recharge this nonmagical weapon. When all the charges are expended, it can only be used as an ordinary club.
