Sonic Mage
Sonic mages are arcane spellcasters who dedicate themselves to the manipulation of sound. They can do anything from silencing a particular spot with interfering counter-sounds to sending low-frequency sound through the ground in a makeshift earthquake. Sonic mages tend to lose their hearing more quickly than normal due to exposure to many extreme sounds.

Class Features
All the following are class features of the sonic mage:
Shatter (Sp): Functions as normal shatter spell-like ability, using the sonic mage's highest level in any one arcane spellcasting class plus her sonic mage level as her caster level. If sonic mage is her highest-leveled arcane spellcasting class, use her second-highest instead of her highest.
Shout (Sp): Starting at 7th level, a sonic mage may use shout as a spell-like ability with a caster level equal to the sonic mage's highest level in any one arcane spellcasting class plus her sonic mage level as her caster level. If sonic mage is her highest-leveled arcane spellcasting class, use her second-highest instead of her highest. When the caster level for this ability reaches 15 or more, the sonic mage may use greater shout instead, at no extra cost.
Deafen (Sp): Functions as blindness/deafness spell-like ability, but can only render subject deafened, affects all targets in a 40 foot spread + 5 feet for every two class levels rather than a single target, and is sonic evocation rather than necromancy. Use the sonic mage's highest level in any one arcane spellcasting class plus her sonic mage level as her caster level. If sonic mage is her highest-leveled arcane spellcasting class, use her second-highest instead of her highest.
Mute (Sp): Functions as silence spell-like ability, but affecting up to class level of targets rather than one, only affects the space the target is in, has a duration of concentration, and is sonic evocation rather than illusion. Use the sonic mage's highest level in any one arcane spellcasting class plus her sonic mage level as her caster level. If sonic mage is her highest-leveled arcane spellcasting class, use her second-highest instead of her highest. A sonic mage may choose to affect static 5 foot by 5 foot by 5 foot points in space rather than mobile targets. A magical sound has a 50% chance of penetrating this silence, while any magical sounds produced by the sonic mage who initiated the silence have a 75% chance of penetrating it.
Earthquake (Sp): Functions as normal earthquake spell-like ability, but is sonic evocation rather than earth evocation. However, while such things as a silence spell may stop this ability's effects, immunity to sonic attacks will not. Use the sonic mage's highest level in any one arcane spellcasting class plus her sonic mage level as her caster level. If sonic mage is her highest-leveled arcane spellcasting class, use her second-highest instead of her highest.
Sound burst (Sp): Use the sonic mage's highest level in any one arcane spellcasting class plus her sonic mage level as her caster level. If sonic mage is her highest-leveled arcane spellcasting class, use her second-highest instead of her highest.
Piercing screech (Sp): Confuses creatures in a 40 foot spread + 5 feet for every two class levels for 1d6 + class level rounds, fort save to negate DC 10 + class level. Is treated as a sonic evocation.
Blindsight (Su): Starting at 8th level, a sonic mage gains hearing-based blindsight out to 5 feet per class level.
Blindsense (Su): Starting at 4th level, a sonic mage gains hearing-based blindsense out to 20 feet + 5 feet per class level.
Distant effect (Su): Shatter, deafness, sound burst, shout, and piercing screech spell-like abilities can affect targets beyond normal range, but all variable, numeric effects are halved when beyond normal range and up to double range, quartered when beyond double range and up to triple range, eighthed when beyond triple range and up to quadruple range, and the ability has no effect beyond quadruple range.
