Weapon (longsword), artifact (Requires attunement)

When the multiverse was still young, the Yuan-Ti, or Snake People created a blade wrought of pure platinum, which they could worship. At one time, the Snake people offered the blade up to their god of war, and he accepted the gift, giving it some of the most powerful magic the world had ever seen. At one point, he lost the sword in battle - it was struck from his hand when the great deity Orunas sliced off his hand in a sword fight. It fell to earth, and was found, by some unlikely chance, by a simple human farmer. He was living under the oppression of an evil magistrate, so he used the power of the blade to smite the magistrate into the Nine Hells. The farmer was killed in his sleep 2 years later, and though his killer searched for it, the sword could not be found. It now lies in the Nine Hells, somewhere in Asmodeus' treasure hoard, waiting to be rediscovered.
