Sigma Arcana (5e Equipment)

Weapon (Longsword or Katana), very rare (Requires attunement)

A blue coloured blade, wielded by a mysteriously hooded figure, slices and dices through a robed body of a sorcerer, forcefully ripping out numbers of thin, glowing wispy threads with each swing. The enemy attempts to retaliate, but their Fireball fizzles out, confusing the caster. The figure simply smirks then stabs the caster, ending their life. "Infinite repetition of magic subtraction."

Mana Burn: When you hit a creature with an attack using this weapon, they must make an Intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, the lowest level spell slot the creature has available is expended and the creature takes 1d6 force damage per level of the spell slot expended.

For the purpose of this weapon, a creature with an Innate Spellcasting feature instead loses one use of the lowest level spell that they can cast, taking 1d6 force damage per level of the spell.

It's my version of already existing Sword of Mana Burn by Kyrinthes, that expands and balances out the anti-magic capabilities. Mage killers rejoice!
