Siege Equipment Costs[edit]

Page 255 of the DMG makes it fairly obvious that siege equipment is not intended to be a core part of 5e's gameplay. But sometimes your players want to buy a ballista to mount to their wagon or craft a siege tower on site before raiding the BBEG's foul fortress. This page is meant to paint in that gap with the following prices:

Equipment Cost Ammunition Weight Period
Ballista 1,000 gp 1 gp 450 lb. Traditional
Cannon 5,000 gp 5 gp 2,000 lb. Renaissance
Cauldron, Suspended 200 gp 20 gp 100 lb. Traditional
Mangonel 2,000 gp 2 gp 7,500 lb. Traditional
Ram 400 gp 300 lb. Traditional
Siege Tower 800 gp 20,000 lb. Traditional
Trebuchet 3,000 gp 3 gp 15,000 lb. Traditional
Boilerdrak 4,000 gp 20 gp 1,000 lb. Traditional
Gnomeflinger 1,200 gp 7,500 lb. Traditional
