Cruciform Auto-gun (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Cruciform Auto-GunMartial Ranged Weapons
Deployable When not deployed, this weapon has strapped and can be worn by a creature similar to a backpack. However, if the creature does not have a strength score of 15 or higher, it will have its movement halved when moving. As an action, the Cruciform can be deployed on the ground, automatically preparing itself for combat. Creatures with a strength score of 19 or higher can deploy the weapon as a bonus action instead. Additionally, when deployed the Cruciform will occupy a 5x5ft space and can be picked up as an action or a bonus action if they have a 19 or higher strength score. Deployable Cover Creatures standing behind the deployed cruciform will be counted as having half cover. Bastion When deployed, the Cruciform Autogun will have 15 Hit Points. Once its Hit Points have been depleted, the weapon will unarm itself and remain stationary until picked up or repaired as an action by succeeding a DC 14 Tinkerer's Tools check. After being repaired, the weapon will need to be rearmed. Ammo Guzzler Every attack with this weapon uses 10 rounds. Cumbersome Wielders without a Strength score of 15 cannot move on the same turn they deploy the weapon. Reloading this weapon takes an action. Specialized Targeting When this weapon is deployed, its targeting system is synced to an electronic on the wielder and can be remotely fired using the creature's action or fire only once as a bonus action within the weapon's range but no additional modifiers will be added to the damage. The weapon has built-in voice recognition and can be commanded to target creatures within its range. If a creature has extra attack, multi-attack, or any similar trait, this weapon will benefit from it. Blunt Weapon The Cruciform can also be used as a melee weapon when not deployed and will gain the Two-Handed, Unwieldy, Stabilizing, and Reach properties. On a hit, the weapon will deal 2d8 bludgeoning damage. Additionally, if the creature wielding the weapon has a strength score of 19 or higher, then it will lose the Stabilizing property. Magical Variant The magical variant of this weapon will require attunement by a creature. The Cruciform loses its reload property and will instead target any creature within its range as commanded by the created attuned to it. Additionally, it will count as a magical weapon for the purpose of bypassing resistances and immunities for both its deployed state and when being used as a melee weapon.
