Wondrous Item (Symbiote), rare (Requires Attunement)

When an artificer took a jar of sand, an ooze crawled in and merged with the ooze, creating this new species of ooze, made to bond with another being, it escaped from the jar and repopulated, scattered across deserts and beaches, as it searches for it's host,
This symbiote searches out areas of sand, and burrows into them, and then releases a pink dye to create a portion of the sandy area pink, it hollows out a hole underneath this sand and waits for someone to step on it.

When a potential host walks onto the symbiotes portion of the beach it collapses the sand, causes them to fall on a failed dc 12 dex save, when they fall the symbiote grapples them and enters the host's body through the pores on the skin.

The symbiote makes the host's muscles stiff and achy for the next 3 days as it bonds, during that time the host's dex mod is reduced by 1, and their movement is reduced by 10 feet.

While this symbiote is bonded to the host, the host is always coated in a layer of sand that is secreted from their pores, when it gets hit, the sand hardens then falls off, which then a new layer of sand is formed, this symbiote increases the host's AC to 13+dex mod

To unbond from the symbiote dig a hole in some sand, and put a drop of your blood into it, when the blood drops, the symbiote will also spill into the hole with the blood.
