Safety Collar (5e Equipment)

Wondrous item, Very Rare (requires attunement) A Safety Collar is made of a soft, blue, rubbery material. Application. As an action while attuned to this item, you may force one creature you can touch to attempt a DC 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, the collar stretches or shrinks to perfectly fit the target's neck, and magically attaches to it. If the target does not have a neck, it attaches to another vital part of their body. Safeguard. When a creature wearing a Safety Collar attempts to deal damage or apply any condition to a creature other than invisible or prone, a creature attuned to it may shock them once without using any form of action, dealing 1d4 lightning damage to the wearer and knocking them unconscious until the beginning of their next turn, causing the attempt to fail.
