Preventing Teleport[edit]
Is there a spell which is cast to the area where you will cast the teleport from, and prevent you from teleporting to some specific location(s)? --Arphon 06:30, 15 September 2008 (MDT)
- SRD:Dimensional Lock? --Dmilewski 09:44, 15 September 2008 (MDT)
- It prevents the teleportation alltogether I guess. I want to select which places someone can go to with teleport and the places you cant go to with teleport. Kind of limiting the teleport spell. --Arphon 02:42, 18 September 2008 (MDT)
- Not a good one. The Tomes suggest 40 feet of solid material prevent teleportations, and that works out fairly well (and gives a reason for the existence of dungeons). Surgo 18:25, 15 September 2008 (MDT)
- In the Dimensional Anchor, it is written that the spell prevents teleport spell but teleportation is prevetend alltogether either I guess. What I want is to prevent to go some places and you can still teleport to some other place. --Arphon 02:39, 18 September 2008 (MDT)
- There's also the el-cheapo lead-lined room. --Dmilewski 06:42, 16 September 2008 (MDT)
- Nothing in the spell or the teleportation subschool that says that lead blocks it. Surgo 07:42, 16 September 2008 (MDT)
- Anticipate Teleport from Spell Compendium. --Ganre 08:32, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Close Ranged Teleport[edit]
Are there effects to using teleport at extremely short range; I.E. in combat? Would the target be considered temporarily hidden upon arrival (as opposed to arriving with a bang?), or be allowed opportunistic or bonused attacks? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.64.2.243 (talk • contribs) 19:47, 10 August 2010 (UTC).
