Rudolph´s Meatcleaver (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (greataxe, battleaxe), rare (requires attunement) Heavy, durable, yet extremely sharp, this weapon cuts through armor and flesh like butter. It's sheer size might frighten the enemy. In action it might even more so. This magical weapon has a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls and deals an additional 1d8 necrotic damage. Curse. The weapon is cursed. This heavy-duty meat cleaver was forged by Rudolph the terrible, a crazed cannibal with the help of evil forces. It has a strong aura of evil, death and destruction. In combat its bloodthirst might lead it to attack the bearers companions instead of the enemy. On a roll of 1 or 2, the weapon leads the wielder to attack its closest standing companion at the start of your next turn. Each round, the bearer may try to withstand the cleavers choice of targets with a successful DC 16 Wisdom saving throw to redirect the attacks against an opponent of his own chosing. Otherwise it continues to hack away at the companion while the weapon can´t be dropped. The curse has no effect on the bearer when his alignement is chaotic evil. |
