Rot Stone[edit]
The rot stone is a small pebble easily fits in the small hand of even a halfling or gnome. The pebble has a curious spiral, usually, but otherwise looks like a normal rock. Those who pick it up will often feel like it is a strange oddity of nature and feel impelled to keep it for good luck. Those who know of its horrible potential know to try and hide it in the property of their enemies, as the stone is actually an object that causes physical and mental ruin to all those within its vicinity.
It is not entirely clear where this stone comes from. Most agree that they are remnant fragments of a much larger and malefic stone that was scattered long ago into this form. However, its powers have not diminished in the slightest. The persistence of the impending ruin is only made more difficult as the stones are nigh indestructible, requiring a special kind of process to destroy. It is said that a dragon must breathe over it whilst in dawn's light for it to finally break and melt into a few drops of pure gold.
The stone's effects occur every day at sundown and do not fade until the stone is removed at least 60 feet away. Roll a d100
