Robot (Mobius Setting)
From D&D Wiki
Robot[edit]
A military squad enters the base of a mad scientist. They are charge with locating him, capturing him, and if necessary ending him. They hack several doors, deactivate several traps, and make their way to the heart of the base. As they reach the end of the lair, the doors slam shut around them. Several death machines begin to fire as the squad begin firing back. They soon start to run low on ammo, and are backed into a corner. As they begin exchanging statements of what an honor it was to fight along side each other, the door to the next room comes crashing down. On the other side, the scientist lies dead on the floor, and a new robot comes through. With several well aimed blasts, the robot destroys all of it's former allies. The robot turns it's head to the squad, and offers it's hand to assist.
Physical Description[edit]
Robots are beings made of metal and wires, given certain functions whether it be for everyday, menial labor, or having weapons for arms for the purpose of war. They will sometimes have their designation and model printed on their metallic body in some place.
History[edit]
Robots have been used in Mobius since technology began making it's greater advances. The most notable people creating robots are G.U.N. for the purpose of protecting citizens, and using them as a autonomous police force of some kind, and the infamous Dr. Ivo Robotnik for the purpose of conquest. Despite how well hard wired the AIs of these robots are built, there have been cases where they have begun forming a will of their own, even turning on their own creator for what they believe is right. The most famous example are E-102 Gamma, and E-123 Omega. Both built by Dr. Ivo Robotnik, these robots deleted his master registration and began actively fighting against his efforts for world domination.
Society[edit]
Robots from Mobius come in all kinds of shapes and forms. They are made by genius scientist for a numerous variety of purposes, some for good, some for evil. While these robots are self aware, they tend to be incredibly loyal to their creators. There have however been some cases when Mobian Robots have turned on their makers, for better, or for worse. For the most part, they tend to have a primary focus that they will almost always put first. Weather it be whatever mission they have been assigned, or a specific individual or thing that they are sworn to protect.
