Ring, artifact (Requires attunment)

A small golden ring with glowing red engravings of dancing flames on the band. When the ring is worn you gain the following abilities:

- You gain fire resisitance.

- You gain the Control Flames and Create Bonfire cantrips.

- Once a day, you are able to cast Investiture of Flame. You cannot cast this again until you finish a long rest.

- When you are in a fire you can use a bonus action to become one with the fire. While in fire form, your fire damage rolls deal can be re rolled on a 1-4 and the new rolls don't have to be used. You don't provoke opportunity attacks while in fire.


If you attempt to wear the ring without being attuned to it, you must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the ring deals 1d6 fire damage until the wearer succeeds in a saving throw.
Random Properties. The Ring of the Flame Lord has the following random properties:

  • 2 minor beneficial properties
  • 1 major beneficial property
  • 3 minor detrimental properties


Destroying the Ring of the Flame Lord. The ring can only be destroyed by bathing it in the roaring oceans of the Elemental Plane of Water for a hundred years. Any other method of destroying the ring seems to work, but the ring reappears back in the Elemental Plane of Fire.
