Ring of Fertility (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Ring, Rare Please see Pregnancy for a clear understanding of this cursed item. A Ring of Fertility is a simple ring which may be made out of varying materials. Engraved into them are scenes depicting a mother and child. Conception. If a female humanoid puts on this ring, they must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On a success, nothing happens and the wearer must repeat the saving throw in another 24 hours if they are still wearing the ring. On a failure, the ring melts into the wearers finger, leaving only a strange rune symbol behind and the wearer becomes pregnant. They then must go through the stages of pregnancy after conception as stated in the Pregnancy Rule, with the one alteration that instead of 9 months, the pregnancy is over a process of 3 days. If the female humanoid lays eggs (ex. Aaracokra, Dragonborn, Kenku), they will apply to the egg laying variant in the Pregnancy Rule, but instead, an egg will be laid after 12 hours and will hatch after 2 and a half days. If the wearer is male or gender-less, nothing happens. |
