Regigigas is a titanic creature believed to have towed the continents into place when the world was still young, making the landmarks of mountains, glaciers and volcanoes.

Appearance[edit]

Regigigas is a large, white, golem-like being. It has seven black circular spots arranged in a specific pattern on a yellow armored face believed to be its eyes. These spots are said to be its way of showing its anger, glowing red when it is provoked, for example. It has six spots that are apart from its eyes on the sides, which appear to be gemstones. These gemstones seem to represent the other three Regis, who are beings that originate in the Hoenn region. It has long arms, with three fairly human-like white fingers under a gold cuff. Its short legs end in large, verdant bushes instead of feet. This same herbage covers its back. The black markings along Regigigas' body are believed to be an arcane inscription of some sort, alien to this world.

Cosmology[edit]

Regigigas is believed to be an alien creature designed by forces hidden in the stars. In the early stages of terraforming, Regigigas was constructed as a means to reign as steward over nature, thus explaining its golem appearance and odd material that cannot be harmed in anyway, as well as the arcane design and markings all over its body. When the world was bludgeoned by otherworldly invaders that came as destructive meteorites, it is believed Regigigas sought aid in its job and so formed the three Regis as help. These three left their region of creation and wandered off, eventually coming to slumber in the Hoenn region.
Regigigas eventually grew weary itself and came under slumber as well. People who found the great sleeping behemoth were horrified of it, not knowing what that thing in the frozen north of Sinnoh was. The primitives constructed a great temple to keep it housed and appeased, because if it awoke, its fury would be tantamount to a cataclysm. It is believed that whilst it sleeps, its energy leaks out and thus created other Regis in the world, namely those in the Galar region.
