Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement)

Raijo and Yara are a pair of falchions that were made infamous for their wielder's unrelenting strings of strikes. You are considered proficient with them if you are proficient with longswords or scimitars. They are considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances, and have the finesse property.

Paired Swords. Raijo and Yara are most effective when wielded together, and are attuned to as a pair rather than individually. As long as you are wielding both swords in your hands, you gain the following benefits:

  • You may use a bonus action to make one attack against a target within reach.
  • When you take the Attack action, you may attack with them up to two times.
  • The swords seem to magically move themselves to parry attacks out of harm's way. They impose a -2 penalty on attack rolls made against you.
