From D&D Wiki
Quadro Baba[edit]
Medium plant, unaligned Armor Class 15 (natural armor)
Proficiency Bonus +2 False Appearance. While the baba remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary plant. Reactive. The baba can take a reaction on every creature's turn in combat. Rooted. The quadro baba is rooted to the ground. Its base walking speed cannot increase above 0 feet. It has advantage on all ability checks and saving throws to remain in its position. If the baba is forced from its position but not reduced to 0 hit points, it dies at the end of its next turn. ACTIONSBite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d8 + 1) piercing damage plus 1 poison damage, and if the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 13). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the baba cannot bite another target. REACTIONSBlock. The baba adds 2 to its AC against one attack that would hit it. To do so, the baba must detect the attacker with its tremorsense. Lunge. When a creature moves within reach of the baba's bite attack, the baba makes a bite attack against that creature. |
An animated flower-like plant with simple intelligence, the aggressive and carnivorous quadro baba is a more highly evolved form of the more common deku baba. Unlike its weaker relative, it tends to only grow in areas with abundantly rich soil, moisture, and sunlight. Its relatively thick hide is reminiscent of tree bark, functioning as surprisingly effective armor. A quadro baba has been known to predict and evade conventional attacks, even from seasoned warrior. |
