Primarina is a creature that appears to be a cross between a sea lion and a mermaid with the upper half being almost completely white while it's fish-like tail is bright blue. On it's face are a round, pink nose, bright blue eyes with long white eyelashes, and long light blue hair trailing off the back of its head, bound into a ponytail with what look like pearl necklaces. On it's forehead is a tiara-like object made up of a line of pearls with two pink starfish on the sides and a thin, transparent blue fin-like growth extending back over it's hair. Similar fins can be found draped over it's shoulders, along where it's tail connects to it's waist, and at the end of it's tail. It's long tail has 6 small, pinkish fins protruding from it's hips and ends with two white fins, which Primarina can use to stand on as if they were feet.

Some Primarinas, in extremely rare cases, have been known to possess blonde hair instead of light blue hair with their tails being a darker blue and their transparent fins taking on a more pinkish hue rather than blue.

History[edit]

Primarinas were first discovered on the tropical islands of Alola.

Society[edit]

Primarinas, along with their Brionne and Popplio young, live in colonies where they practice manipulating water balloons, dancing and singing. The water balloons it manipulates are sometimes explosive, but it mostly uses non-explosive ones as platforms when performing. On moonlit nights, the alpha Primarina will lead it's colony in song. Because it's singing is instrumental in nearly everything it does, it takes great care of it's throat. It is said that no two colonies sing the same melody, and the melodies each colony sings have been passed down for generations.

Primarina Names[edit]

Despite it's feminine appearance, most Primarina are male, with females being a minority. That said, Primarina names are usually Common, Aquan and, sometimes, Sylvan.
