Pouch of Revisitation (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Wondrous item, very rare
The Pouch of Revisitation is a bag in which only items originating from a tavern (or inn) may be placed: once the item is placed within the pouch it is magically marked with the symbol of the tavern/ inn; this marking may be the tavern arms or similar unique symbol indicating that tavern. When the user casts the collected item upon the ground whilst saying aloud the activation word they and those willing within a 20ft radius (or 30ft cone) are instantaneously transported to the tavern from which the cork had been collected from.
Each item must be collected from the tavern and inn and placed in the pouch whilst within the location in order to work. The item can be anything from the location and does not need to be unique to that place.
Ideas of what the items could be are as follows:
- Corks from empty bottles from the establishment
- Chips or splinters of wood from furniture such as bar stools
- Bone fragments from meals that have been eaten in the establishment
- Stolen cutlery which have been used by the player characters whilst in the establishment
Notes:
- The tavern must still exist as a building and as a tavern for the action of visitation to work.
- The character that is in possession of the pouch can, if uncertain of the markings on the item, can simply it in their hands and be told where it will take them. The pouch will only disclose the tavern or inn by name as it is down to the character to know where it is that the tavern is: this does mean the character can blindly go to an establishment that they have zero idea about.
- When the player/ players are transported to the tavern they arrive in an unoccupied area 15ft away from the main entrance.
Capacity. The pouch can only up to ten items at anytime and only two items within the pouch can be from one such tavern.
Cooldown. The pouch can only be used once every 4 days.
Replenishment. When an item is used it is destroyed. When the owner of the pouch wishes to replenish an item used they need to take an item from the specific tavern and store it within the bag: when said item has been within the bag for at least a fortnight it has replenished the bag by one.
