Portable Cover (5e Equipment)

Armor (tower shield), uncommon This durable rectangular tower shield has a modified Immovable Rod built into the handle. As an action, you can place the shield against the ground and press a button in the handle. The shield unfolds to provide cover on three sides for a Medium or smaller creature. A standing Medium creature has half cover, and a standing Small creature has three-quarters cover. The DM may rule that a creature has more or less cover due to their size or position behind the cover. For example, a crouching Medium creature might have full cover. While the cover is deployed, a creature can use an action to make a DC 30 Strength check, moving the fixed cover up to 10 feet on a success.
