Pliny’s Pine Pike of Piqued Panic (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (pike), very rare (requires attunement) The signature weapon of an infamous ancient conqueror. Across dozens of battles and thousands of casualties, military and civilian alike, the blood seeping into this pike’s long shaft carried with its stolen ichor the fear and dread of its victims. The last drops of horror the wood would taste for centuries was its ever-generous paladin, impaled upon their own weapon by a foe that knew no fear. Woeful Blows. Your attacks with this weapon deal additional Psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 0) if you have proficiency with the Intimidation skill. Cull the Cowardly. You have advantage on melee weapon attacks and Intimidation checks against Frightened creatures. Trial of Terror. When you roll a 20 on an attack roll against a creature with this weapon, it must make a Charisma saving throw with a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier. If you have expertise with the Intimidation skill, you may add your Charisma modifier to this saving throw DC. On a failure, the creature takes Psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier and is Frightened of you until the end of your next turn. Curse. This pike is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. Until the curse is broken with remove curse or similar magic, you become Frightened when more than 30ft from the weapon. In addition, after you make an attack with another weapon you are Frightened until the end of your next turn. This condition ignores any immunity to Frightened. Whenever you roll a 1 on an attack roll using this weapon, the darkness within it pierces you. You take Psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier and are Frightened of the target until the end of your next turn. This damage may not be reduced in any way and this condition ignores any immunity to Frightened. |
