Pearl of Power, Variations (5e Equipment)

Wondrous item, varies (requires attunement by a spellcaster) This page has different variations of the uncommon magic item pearl of power.

Pearl of Power, Lesser

Common

While this pearl is on your person, you can use an action to speak its command word and regain one expended spell slot. If the expended slot was of 2nd level or higher, the new slot is 1st level. Once you have used the pearl, it can't be used again until the next dawn.

Pearl of Power, Greater

Rare

While this pearl is on your person, you can use an action to speak its command word and regain one expended spell slot. If the expended slot was of 6th level or higher, the new slot is 5th level. Once you have used the pearl, it can't be used again until the next dawn.

Pearl of Power, Encoded

Rare

This pearl functions identically to a pearl of power, but has the following additional property:

Encoded Spell. The pearl contains a random spell of 1st through 4th level. If the spell is on your class spell list, you know and can cast the spell using your spell slots while the pearl is on your person. Otherwise, you can cause the pearl to cast the spell at 4th-level (save DC 15, +7 to hit) by speaking a variation of its command word. This counts as using the pearl and, as such, it can't be used again until the next dawn.

Pearl of Power, Superior

Very Rare

While this pearl is on your person, you can use an action to speak its command word and regain one expended spell slot. If the expended slot was of 8th level or higher, the new slot is 7th level. Once you have used the pearl, it can't be used again until the next dawn.

Pearl of Power, Ultimate

Legendary

While this pearl is on your person, you can use an action to speak its command word and regain one expended spell slot. Once you have used the pearl, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
