Pearl Armor (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Armor (Plate), common

Crafted by shalarin pearl harvesters, pearl armor is "forged" atop clothing, typically made of sheeps' coral, in the mother-of-pearl sacs of giant clams. The result is a set of incredibly protective, light armor that is about as flexible as stone. This tradeoff, combined with its beauty, makes it a common choice for ornamental armor.

Ornamental Defense. You gain a +1 bonus to your AC, but you have disadvantage on any ability check, saving throw, or attack roll that involves Strength or Dexterity. If you are not proficient in plate armor, you can't cast spells and your walking, swimming, and climbing speeds are halved.
