Patron Initiate

The character enters into service to a Patron, or strengthens their connection to one they already serve. Your character gains the following benefits:

  • Increase your Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • You gain proficiency in the Arcana skill. If you’re already proficient, your proficiency bonus is doubled for checks you make with it.
  • You learn the eldritch blast and one spell, depending on your chosen patron: Archfey (faerie fire), Fiend (hellish rebuke) or Great Old One (hideous laughter). You can cast your patron's spell once, without expending a spell slot, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.
