Parachute of Peril (5e Equipment)

This unassuming backpack is packed with thin, finely woven cloth.

While wearing and attuned to this backpack, if you ever fall a distance of 10 feet or greater the backpack on its own bursts open. The cloth inside rapidly unfurls, becoming like a wing to catch air and slow your descent. Once the cloth is unfurled you fall no more than 60 feet during each of your turns, and upon landing take no falling damage.

Once this effect is used the backpack can't be reassembled, and the cloth is too damaged to be used again, effectively destroying this item.
