Onyx Champion's Mask (5e Equipment)

Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement)

This black mask crafted from onyx seems to be of a black so deep it appears to sap all colour around it. It is said that this mask was once the personal cowl of the thief god himself.
If you are a cleric with the Trickery domain, you may use this mask as a holy symbol, granting you a +2 bonus to your spell attack rolls and a +1 bonus to your spell save DC. When you wear this mask you can cast the disguise self spell at will as an action. The spell ends early if you remove the mask. Additionally, you have advantage on Charisma (Deception) checks to convince people you are somebody else.
Magic Thief. As an action you can touch a creature and attempt to steal one spell effecting them, such as a haste or bless spell. Make a Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check with a DC equal to 15 + the spell's level. On a success that spell ends for the target and is granted to you and lasts for the full duration with no concentration needed from you. You can only be affected by one spell at a time in this way. If you attempt to use this property of the mask again while you are benefitting from a spell you have gained in this way, you must forfeit that spell.
Curse. This mask is cursed, and attuning to the mask extends this curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, nobody, not even close friends and family can fully remember who you are when you are out of sight. They will remember your existence and vague details about you but will be unable to accurately describe your appearance and personality. Creatures will remember full well who you are when you are in their vicinity and engaging with them but as soon as you are not immediately engaging all recollection of you becomes hazy.
